Izvestia on film The whole year 1970 of the Soviet newspaper "Izvestia" ( 308 issues) photographed on high-resolution film in the archives of the Lenin State Library of the USSR in Moscow. I used a flatbad scanner to scan a part of a film strip for this description. Undoubtedly, you will need a film scanner in order to get a high quality scan.Using a magnifying glass I was able to read the articles and look thorugh the photos. The quality is outstanding. Since these issues are over 30 years old, they don't have any copyright protection and could be copied and used freely. 1970 was a year marked by 100th anniversary of Vladimir Uljanov-Lenin birthday (April 22, 1870) and there are many articles and photos devoted to that epic event of the Soviet history. Very rare piece of the Soviet history. I was lucky to find this one and some other newspapers after so many years.
