Crabbing gave me the most fun. Bring some chicken or turkey necks with you. You can buy them for bait in the local shops, but they will be frozen and priced as if they were a white meat. The smellier the bait the stronger the attraction. Tie this bait to a string or a line and drop into a narrow chanal that goes along the road to the beach.
Don't forget to bring a net attached to a long handle to cath. Eveybody were using special nets with a small diameter. I was using another net which I brought originally for fishing and it was double the size of the crab nets. It gave me a certain advantage, I believe. Since, I was able to see a crab in a shallow water even before he comes close to the bait, I used my net to catch them without a long wait. Crabs move quickly underwater, and they look more like ghosts as their colors are very close to the colors of the water but the wide net gives them less chance to escape. Of course, this migth be useless in a deep water.

Be attentive to their claws. They are not really sharp, but the ends of them are crossed to rip pieces of flesh from their food. And they are very strong. I've lost attention only once when getting maybe 25th crab out of the net and I was pinched hard. The claw made a small but deep incision on my middle finger and I spent the next 10 minutes spitting blood into the muddy water (hopefully, it attracted more crabs)...
Cooking was easy. All you need is a large size pot (provided by the host) and some Old Bay spice mix. Crabs taste great either steamed or boiled. The biggest amount of meat is hidden in the bottom of the crab's lower-body. Take your time when you devour a blue crab. I like it cold too.

I was told that the crab's broth is a nice base for a soup. Apparently, the sludge that stuck to crab's shell and a large amount of Old Bay spice made it dark brown in color which was not very appealing to me...
